Recovery Runs Should Be Easy But Never Sloppy

Easy sessions can help you recover but easy should never be sloppy. Sloppy training happens when you switch off mentally and forget to engage technically. Your easy workouts are an opportunity to refine technical aspects of the sport without adding any real physical stress.

The Workout-30 minute run
Technical Cues:
Stand tall and proud
Land mid to forefoot (not toes)
Land softly
Light, relaxed arm carry with light swing from the shoulders (not elbows)
Run slowly!

This run should feel very easy. You should be able to carry on a conversation with ease throughout the run. If you are someone who obsesses about pace, leave your Garmin or other pace measuring device at home. Focus exclusively on maintaining and ingraining great technical running form.
