California Camp 2025

Riding to the top of Yerba Buena…..almost there!

We had the most amazing time at our annual California camp along with our extended Human Powered Racing family. We could not have asked for better weather and as always, the camp participants brought the best energy! Obviously the area around Los Angeles has had a horrific month and our hearts go out to everyone affected by the fires. We were mindful to make sure we were not utilizing resources like hotel rooms needed for first responders or evacuees but being an hour north of the city and inland was like being in a different world all together. We almost cancelled the camp 48hrs prior but the fire situation was gaining control and the wind and weather looked favourable. We moved some of our usual ride routes further north and inland and adjusted others and the camp was incredible.

We were able to ride some of our favourite routes including Rock Store, Mulholland, Latigo, Piuma, Sycamore Canyon, Encinal, Westlake, Yerba Buena, Thousand Oaks and part of Decker Canyon road. Thanks to all of the campers and support crew who made it possible.
